Hong Kong Disneyland & Victoria Peak

We came here for Disneyland. Greatest fireworks show. But we didn’t able to capture in video that much. We were enjoying our day on this travel. I can say it was one of the best. The theme park is cool and Hong Kong is cool. Finding the hidden mickey. Watching Pandas and riding teacups. It’s one of popular activities you’ll remember. The year was 2011.

How to get here:

Hong Kong International Airport → Tsing Yi → Sunny Bay → Disneyland Resort

  1. After immigration and baggage claim, follow signs for MTR/Airport Express.
  2. Take the train from Airport Station toward Tsing Yi.
  3. At Tsing Yi Station, transfer to the Tung Chung Line.
  4. Take the Tung Chung Line toward Sunny Bay.
  5. At Sunny Bay, transfer to the Disneyland Resort Line.
  6. Get off at Disneyland Resort Station.
  7. Walk to the Disneyland entrance.

Hong Kong Disneyland says the journey from the airport is approximately 30 minutes, although you should allow additional time for walking and transfers

Victoria Peak, usually called The Peak, is one of Hong Kong’s most famous attractions. Located on Hong Kong Island, it is famous for its spectacular panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, Kowloon and Hong Kong’s skyscraper skyline.

⭐ What makes Victoria Peak special?

1. Peak Tram 🚋
The historic Peak Tram has operated since 1888 and takes visitors from Central up toward The Peak. The journey climbs nearly 400 metres over about 1.27 km and takes around 10 minutes.

2. Sky Terrace 428 🌆
At the top of The Peak Tower, Sky Terrace 428 provides a 360-degree panoramic viewpoint and is an excellent place for photographs of Hong Kong’s skyline and harbour.

3. Lugard Road Lookout 📸
For a more natural viewpoint, walk toward Lugard Road. It is particularly beautiful around sunset and at night, when the skyscrapers begin to light up.

4. Peak Circle Walk 🌿
This is a scenic walking route where you can enjoy views of Victoria Harbour, Kowloon and the surrounding mountains while experiencing the greenery around The Peak.

5. The Peak Tower 🏙️
The distinctive wok-shaped Peak Tower contains restaurants, shops and attractions, including Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and the Peak Tram terminus.

🌅 Best time to visit

I recommend going late afternoon:

4:00 PM → arrive at The Peak
4:30–5:30 PM → explore and take photos
5:30–6:30 PM → sunset
6:30–8:00 PM → enjoy Hong Kong’s illuminated skyline

This gives you the opportunity to see Hong Kong in daylight, sunset and nighttime in one visit.

🚋 Important current information

If you’re visiting today, September 9, 2026, note that the Peak Tram is temporarily suspended on September 8 for scheduled maintenance. The Peak Tower and Sky Terrace 428 remain open, and the Hong Kong Tourism Board advises visitors to use alternative public transportation during the suspension.
