Tulang Diot, Camotes Islands
Tulang Diot Island is a small, beautiful island off the northern part of Pacijan Island in San Francisco, Camotes Islands, Cebu. It is particularly known for its fine white sand, clear turquoise water, peaceful atmosphere, and relatively simple island setting.
The name Tulang Diot essentially means “Small Tulang,” distinguishing it from nearby Tulang Dako (“Big Tulang”).
🏝️ What makes Tulang Diot special?
- White-sand beach – The shoreline has soft, pale sand and clear shallow water.
- Quiet atmosphere – It is less developed and generally more peaceful than the larger, busier beach areas of Camotes.
- Short boat ride – From Tulang Dako, the crossing to Tulang Diot is only about 5–10 minutes.
- Snorkeling and diving – The surrounding waters have coral reef areas. PADI describes Tulang Diot as a dive site with reef slopes leading to dramatic wall-diving areas.
- Beach picnic and swimming – It’s a good place to spend a few relaxed hours swimming, taking photographs, or having a picnic.
- Camping – Overnight camping has been offered, although facilities and arrangements can change, so it’s best to confirm locally before planning an overnight stay.
🚤 How to get there
The usual route is:
Cebu → Camotes → San Francisco → Barangay Esperanza → Tulang Dako → Tulang Diot
Once you reach Tulang Dako, you take a small boat across to Tulang Diot. The municipal climate plan confirms that Tulang Diot is part of Barangay Esperanza and is approximately a five-minute boat ride from Tulang Dako.
If you’re coming from Cebu City, the common ferry route is Danao Port → Consuelo Port, Camotes, with the ferry crossing taking roughly 2–2.5 hours, followed by land transport to the Tulang Dako area.

If you’re creating a Camotes Beach House / Camotes tourism itinerary, I would make Tulang Diot a half-day island-hopping destination:
Morning: Camotes Beach House → Tulang Dako
Late morning: Boat to Tulang Diot
11:00 AM–2:00 PM: Swimming, snorkeling, lunch and photography
2:00 PM: Return to Tulang Dako
Afternoon: Continue to another Camotes attraction or beach
